The faith we have when we are young can have a huge impact on our lives, good and bad.

Jesus and church was a huge part of my life when I was a young person. 

Like myself, many of the folks I grew up with have very different views than they used to.

Some are no longer involved in church like they were.  and have a variety of reasons for being wherever they are, reasons that can't just be boiled down to a lack of faith or commitment. 

Some of us have found re-imagining, or discarding our faith to be a long painful process,

while others seem to move on without much turmoil. 

The process itself is not necessarily easy for people who didn't grow up involved in a church community to understand. 

The intent of this site is to allow people to share their stories, and for us all to learn from listening to others. 

The stories are from people who were engaged in Christian communities when they were young, but have had some departure from mainstream Christianity since.

They may still call themselves Christians or they may not. 

It's not a place to mock or belittle anyone, but somewhere to share honest reflection, maybe regrets and definitely some humour.
